To a Pal - Fred Casey

by George Albert Leddy

To a dear old Pal, of the drinking days:

We liked your style, and we liked your ways.

We don't regret, and we won't forget;

The happy day, when we first met.

We hear you've taken a fair Bride;

To travel ever by your side.

We hope she'll think as much of you;

As all the fellows, down here, do.

We're sending to your Bride, and you;

A token of a friendship true.

And hope all joy, your lives, will fill;

And “Blessings on you!”

—Bert and Gill.
